Much like "Fangs of The Living Dead, this movie starts off with a couple that has recieved a note that they have inherited a castle. What they do not realize is the people that currently live there are vampires and feed off of the blood of virgins. But instead of sinking their teeth into their victims, they send their butler to stick a needle in the helpess woman's arm while she is chained up in the castle basement. After he draws the blood, he empties the syrenge into a gooblet and down the hatch of the vampires.
The vampires have a relative who escapes from prison but after a long introduction to the viewer and a fine job of working him into the story, he became the only real belevable person in the whole film. Sorry, the story is fun, but bad acting just kills it.
Back to the couple that inherited that castle. After sleeping several nights in the castle, and hearing screams each night, the couple decide to find out where the screams are coming from. It took them a few days!?!
The discover several women held against their will, chained up against the wall. They were being used to provide the vampires blood when needed. Not far from the women are the two coffins that house our vampires. The vampires wake up, one of the girls is set on fire at the stake, and the movie finishes with both vampires melting when the sun came up. Why did they melt you ask? Because they were being held at gunpoint by the couple. Yes....gunpoint. Theu are vampires!!! They should not be afriad of guns. DUH!
The print used by Mill Creek Entertainment to put this classic on DVD is horrible. The first few minutes of each reel has green streaks which are very hard to watch. They go away after a while. Otherwise, check out this dandy little diddy.
