Sisters of Death

Four girls are initiating two new members into their group. Both girls are young, pretty and naive as to exactly what they may be getting themselves into. Both girls are setting before three members of a group called "The Sisters". The movie does not go on to explain exactly what the sisters are very well. Anyway, the are about to take their last test. This test is a test of their courage. The fourth member of The Sisters is standing behind the two newest members. She turns around and appears to be loading a gun. She turns to the first girl and pulls the trigger. Nothing happens. The first gal passed the test. She is now a member of The Sisters. Then next test goes terribly wrong! Instead of a blank, the gun fires killing the girl in cold blood. A massive wound to her head!

Fast forward seven years to a town in California. The Sisters have moved on to their separate lives and the incident that killed the gal seven years before was ruled an accident. Each member of The Sisters receives an invitation and a large sum of cash to cover their transportation cost to attend a reunion of The Sisters. Oddly, enough, the girls each decide to make the trip. Once they arrive, they are greeted with a large spread of food and wine, a massive mansion and by a father who thinks his daughter was killed on purpose during the ceremony seven years ago!

The story takes some strange twist that make little sense. First off, the five girls are keeping company with two rather strong men. That makes seven against one. Why could they not have taken this madman who wants to kills The Sisters one-by-one? The grounds are surrounded by a large electric fence. OK, so none of the gals could touch the fence without getting fried. But why could they not dig around the mansion for a large ladder that could have been used to help them escape? Really! The crazy old man is allowing the ladies and the two men free run of the castle and it's grounds! Why! This is chance for them to team up on the guy. Or to come up with a team plan to get away soon. I guess there would be no movie though.

I was disappointed at the lack of anything really scary or horrifying after the first three minutes of the film. I really wanted to see what would happen if one of the gals tried to climb the fence. Come on! Lets see one of them climb and then fry like and egg! Lets see some hair stand up and blood pooring out of her eye sockets! I have seen educational films that are more frightening. OK story but it goes down hill and never levels off after the first scene.

The Teacher

Her best lessons were taught in private tutoring sessions after class! Most of her sessions were in her own home. The Teacher, Diana Marshell played by Angel Tompkins dresses like a loose teenage girl looking for a boyfriend when her workday is done. She hops in her car after work and heads home. After a change of clothes, she drives off to the pier to go sailing. However, a strange man, or should I say a dirty old man follows her and is stalking her. She arrives at the pier and takes her boat out on the water. As she is slipping off her top and putting on sun screen, two of her students show up and spy on her as she is sunbathing topless. As they watch, one of the boy’s brother named Ralph holds a large blade and yells the word “Bastards!!”. Ralph’s brother panics and falls off the ledge and several stories to his death. Ralph accuses uses the boy (Sean) of killing his brother and chases him around the docks. The, music used in the chase scene sounds like something used in the ABC After School Special. Later when Sean gets home, Ralph is waiting outside of Sean’s window and threatens him to keep his mouth shut or else.

Sean is in a real mess! He just watched his best friend die and knows how it happened. Yet, if he talks, he may die. And things are about to get more interesting!

The next morning we find the teacher next to her garage hosing down the driveway. Sean shows up on his bike to let her know that his mother invited her over for lunch. When the teacher tries to coax him in the house, she says the line no teacher I have ever heard say “I’m not going to rape you”. Great, first Sean’s best friend dies before his eyes, then Sean’s life is threatened, now the high school teacher acts like she wants to teach him a lesson he will never forget. A couple of hours later we find Sean at her house being corrupted by drinking beer and encouraged to steal a kiss. If only we as high school students could have been as lucky as this guys was at this moment! It isn’t long before the teacher is helping the student learn more than just the facts about life. Unfourtanatly, during lovemaking, Ralph peeks through the window and sees them. Ralph is angry and wants to keep Sean quiet about the death and now he has something to use.The relationship between the teacher and her student is clearly inappropriate but Sean’s mother seems to be either in the dark about it or has no problem with it. Mrs. Marshell the teacher clearly has a stalker in Ralph and won’t call the cops and everywhere Diana and Sean turn is Ralph waiting to kill Sean. In between we see Sean and the teach dry humping. This story is gets weirder by the moment.

While this film has a few unexplained loopholes, it is still a great one to watch with your buds and have a few laughs.
